The opening day of the 19th Fina World Championships is just around the corner, so the event begins on June 17th with the artistic swimming, the most spectacular program, which will be hosted by the Hajós Alfréd Swimming Complex on Margaret Island.

Based an all entries more than 340 artistic swimmers come from 44 countries. The host Hungarian team will be interested in five out of ten programs – solo free (Szabina Hungler), duet technical (Gács Boglárka, Farkas Linda) and team competition – technical, free and highlight.

As for the hosts, last year the Hungarian artistic swimming team achieved a very good result at the European Championships, which is also held in Budapest – after the lockdown, due to the epidemic situation – the rejuvenated national team produced the greatest success in the international field so far.

  • Highlight – 3rd place (79.1 points)
  • Combination Freedom – 4th place (78.76 points)

Actually the Hungarians have the best chance of finals in these two programs, where they can reach one of the top 12 places – with a lucky draw, a great and precise performance and high judging scores.
